Don't have time to read a help article? We've got you covered! Check out our tutorial video below!
This help article will cover everything you need to know about changing the data shown on your Dashboard by selecting a data point on your graph, as well as how to select a custom date range for your Dashboard.
Note: You may come across situations where we display inconsistent data using this feature, such as in screenshot 2 below where the value displayed under Portfolio Total is not consistent with what's displayed on the graph data point. The reason for this is because we are estimating certain values using surrounding data points when we don't have an exact data entry from the exchange at the time specified. This is expected due to our data collection process and is not indicative of an issue with Shrimpy Pro.
Selecting a datapoint on your graph
In the screenshot above you can see that when you move your mouse over the graph on your Dashboard, a pop-up is displayed that shows the date, time, and value of your portfolio at the corresponding datapoint. By clicking on the graph, you can enable the option to "Show Data" which will update your Dashboard to reflect your portfolio as it was at the corresponding data point.
Show current Dashboard
To revert your Dashboard back to its current state, select "Clear" either in the pop-up displayed on the graph, or underneath "Portfolio assets" which is highlighted in the screenshot above. Refreshing the page is also an option.
Show custom date range
Similar to selecting a datapoint on your Dashboard, you have the option to show a custom timeframe as well. Simply select "Custom" when changing the timeframe shown on your Dashboard and use the calendars to select your start and end dates via the buttons highlighted below.
After selecting the desired date range, your Dashboard will be updated to reflect the state of your portfolio at the end of the selected time period. From here, you can still select a datapoint on the graph if you would like.
Which values are updated?
The following values are updated when viewing a historical datapoint and selecting a custom date range:
- Performance
- Assets held
- Allocation
- Value
- Difference
- 7D Performance
