Shrimpy Pro is used by cryptocurrency traders to manage their portfolios and automate their trading strategies. It is common for users to link multiple exchange accounts to their Shrimpy Pro account to consolidate their trading activity. However, there may come a time when a user needs to delete an exchange account. This could be because they no longer use the exchange or because they want to disconnect an old account to link a new one and start fresh. This article will guide you through the process of removing an exchange account from your Shrimpy Pro account.
Before We Start...
It's important to note that deleting an exchange account from your Shrimpy Pro account will result in the removal of all data associated with that account, including trade history, portfolios, and automations. If you plan on relinking the same exchange account with new API keys and want to keep the data associated with that account, we would suggest you update your API keys instead. You can follow the steps outlined in this article to update your API keys.
How to Remove an Exchange Account
Log in to your Shrimpy Pro account and navigate to the Settings page.
Click on the Accounts tab.
Look for the exchange account that you want to delete and click the Edit icon located next to it
A pop-up window will appear. Look for the trash can icon located at the bottom left-hand corner of the window and click on it.
A warning message will appear, asking if you are sure you want to delete the exchange account. Keep in mind that deleting an exchange account will also delete all data associated with it, including trade history, automations, and portfolios.
To confirm that you want to delete the exchange account, select "Yes, Delete".
The exchange account will now be removed from your Shrimpy Pro account.
Removing an exchange account from your Shrimpy Pro account is a simple process that can be completed in just a few clicks. Always keep in mind that deleting an exchange account will also delete all data associated with it, so make sure you have exported any important data before deleting the account.
