You might have noticed that the Shrimpy Developer APIs support two different pricing plans. One is the "Active Users" plan and the other is the "Data Plan".

The active user plan focuses mostly on trading. Whether you have 1 or 1,000,000 users who want to trade, the active users plan is for you.

One question you might have is: Do I need a data plan in order to collect data from the exchange and execute trades?

The active users plan provides all the live data endpoints you need in order to execute trades on the exchange. You can collect order books either through our rest API or our websockets. You can collect trade data points through our live websockets. You can also use the market data endpoints to get general pricing information across exchanges. We even provide candlestick (OHLCV) data so you can display these graphs to your users.

The "Data Plans" are specific to historical data. If you need historical order book snapshots or trade data points, then the data plans are for you. If you don't need historical data, then you can completely ignore this plan.
